Student Testimonial for GEOS Boston

It was a great experience at GEOS meeting new people and learning their culture, which was something that I am interested in. During my stay at GEOS, I saw people from different countries come and go, but some people bond with other people, and that was amazing. Overall, I think GEOS provides a lot of knowledge and experience to all the students who wants to gain it. Ayushman from Nepal

GEOS Boston welcomes Ian McGeoch

Staff / Teacher for GEOS Boston
Meet our new Operations Coordinator. A native to Massachusetts, Ian grew up in Amherst and went to school in Somerville. He completed his B.A. in International Relations and German at Tufts University in 2010, and earned his TEFL certificate in 2011.

Ian’s attention to detail and technical acumen make him a valuable addition to the GEOS Administration team. He loves learning new languages and meeting new people from all over the world.

Welcome to the team, Ian!

The weather is heating up in Boston, and that means that summer is coming. We want to remind everyone that the summer schedule will begin on June 27th and last until August 19th. We will run the outdoor activities in the mornings when it is cooler, and hold classes in our air-conditioned school in the afternoons when it is really hot outside. Classes run from 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm.

Introduction to Writing
Over the next three months, we will give you a closer look at each of our three Electives! This month, we are highlighting Introduction to Writing.

Good habits start early. We believe that learning to write should be no exception. The third elective that we are highlighting is “Introduction to Writing,” which we offer to our beginner students. Students taking this class will learn the basics, and leave the class with the ability to produce clear, simple and correct sentences. These sentences can be connected to form paragraphs and the foundation of longer and more complicated essays required of advanced students.

Interested students can CONTACT US for more information.

Cupcake Field Trip with Ikuko
The trip to the specialty bakery on fashionable Newbury Street in Boston was a great success. Students got a kick out of the different and creative cupcakes. We will be planning another trip soon!
