I have spent 6 months with my host family who was really kind and outgoing and it made me feel like home. I have a great time with them and my English skills have really improved.  Also, my host family has had many other students from all over the world that provides many learning opportunities to me about different cultures. GEOS Homestay Program

 

 

The GEOS Homestay Program is intended to give visiting foreign students a first-hand experience of American culture by providing an opportunity for students to share in everyday life with their host family. As well as being able to use the practical English language skills that they have learned in school, students will be able to participate in family activities for an insider’s view of life in Boston. A GEOS staff member visits each of our homestay families with our students’ interests in mind. Our aim is to provide our students with a secure, educational, and affordable living situation. Our host families live in safe, comfortable neighborhoods in the Greater Boston Area.

The Homestay map feature provides prospective students and their agents with an up-close look at our host family locations around Boston.  We at GEOS want to provide the best accommodations possible for all of our students, and we understand that individuals have different requests and expectations when it comes to their homestay experience.  By providing this map, we hope to give students a good idea of where host families are located before they even step foot in the city.  GEOS is located in a downtown, financial district that requires on average approximately 40-50 minutes of travel from most host families' homes.  We have included in this map only those families who have demonstrated over time that they can provide a caring, supportive home for our students while they study here. 

**Please keep in mind – these homestay locations are approximate and do not depict the exact locations of our families.  The marked locations do, however, give prospective students a sample of the towns and regions that are well represented in our homestay program.  If a particular area interests you, please contact GEOS and we will follow up with more specific details!**
